🔶🔶 Hello guy's, today in this article you will get all the information regarding best branches in engineering in 2020 for B.tech/B.E degree. I am writing this article by examining the current scenario of our country, India. And I will tell you about top branches in engineering 2020 for high salary in future. From this article you should come to know about future scope in engineering for each stream.
- How to choose right stream in engineering for better future?
After cracking JEE exam if your wish to take admission in engineering, then you have to pick the right stream which is one of the essential parts of engineering admission process. Always you should choose a stream for that you are interested or passionate. Engineering is one of the best course in the world. But my question is why you need a guidance to choose a right stream ? Because for your career, you should hep about your country's present scenario. In India, nowadays just having an Engineering degree doesn't guarantee you for a good job with decent salary. Don't worry about it. As an engineer I will help you for picking a right stream according to scope of opportunities in future. In this article I will only discuss about future scopes according to your stream after completing your degree. I will not discuss about the details of a stream. May be this article will be long but i assure you that it will be very helpful for you.
Lets come to the point. There are so many branches in Engineering like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Automobile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Bio Technology etc. If you get selection in top IIT's(IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad) or in top NIT's(NIT Trichy, NIT Rourkela, NIT Karnataka, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut) then you can pick any stream you're passionate about. Because this institutes provide best placement for any stream in India. Apart from IITs (old) and NITs , students can look at institutes like New IITs, IIIT-Hyderabad, Jadavpur University, BITS-PILANI etc, these institutes are good even so to choose a stream in this institute you have to collect information about placement. If your selection can not make to a premier college then it becomes necessary to choose the right engineering stream because selecting a wrong stream can land you in serious trouble.
After completing the degree you are eligible for government job as well as private job and if your aim is to do research on a field, go for higher studies like M.E or M.Tech. Becoming a graduate Every engineer is eligible for all non-technical government jobs like IAS, CGL, CHSL, PSC or SSC etc. But if you wish to do a government job in technical sections there is also so may opportunities like ESE, PSU through GATE, PSU through non-GATE, SSC, PSC etc. So at first you have to choose one of them technical job and non technical job. I will discuss about the technical job.
- Government Job vs Private Job -
Among technical job you have to choose whether government job or private job.
Now at first I am going to discuss about government job opportunities. for government jobs you should preferred a core stream like Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering because other than core branches there is very least vacancies in government sector.
If your wish to crack UPSC exam(ESE/IES) then civil engineering is the best stream because of more vacancies in this field. Electrical and Mechanical Engineering also eligible for ESE but comparatively harder than civil.
For Sate level jobs like PSC, state municipality's job etc Electrical and Civil branches is the best. Mechanical also has vacancies but in low number compare with civil and electrical generally. Although from time to time vacancies may be reversed.
For job in PSUs(Public Sector Undertakings) I will prefer both Electrical and Mechanical Department. Other departments like civil engineering, electronics engineering, chemical engineering also have opportunities in PSUs.
As most of the students prefer government job, so competition is also high in India. For government job you should give your best effort and to get success it may be takes time and have to keep your patience.
If you want to do job in private sector , i will recommend you to do Computer science Engineering. Because after engineering you can bag a job with decent package in private sector only by doing Computer Science Engineering(CSE). And the rate of growth of your career will be high that means then you are eligible to earn high salary. Due to COVID-19 in 2020 , in forthcoming years most of the jobs will be internet oriented or software oriented as we have to maintain social distancing. So in future CSE will have high demand. and also if you have wish to open a company or to do a business , then first most preferred department is Computer Science Engineering because you can start your business in zero investment or very less investment. After CSE then comes Electrical Engineering next, then Civil Engineering, then Electronics and Mechanical engineering.
Other than CSE , Electrical Engineering has also opportunities to do job in private sector but growth rate with compare to CSE is less. but if you gather your experience in a particular field, then your salary will be also high.
In private sector Civil Engineering also has opportunities like Electrical Engineering as job condition. Mechanical has also opportunities but less in number comparing other mentioned branches.
If you want to start a company or a business in Electrical or Mechanical department, you must have good financial condition because you have to invest a large amount of money.
I am creating a table Government Job vs Private Job according to Branch preferences.

N.B. :- for
business Computer Science is the best choice.

If you want to take admission in non core branches like Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering etc etc. then always try to get selection in premier college because from this branches government job opportunity as well as private job is comparatively is less in India.
One advice to you if you are not selected for premier colleges like IITs & NITs then don't choose private college by taking review from online or by phone or by video. Reviews may be fake. Go to the college what you have chosen and try to collect the reviews and authentic information from colleges students or from seniors.
At last i want to say whatever stream or branch you select, you have to do hard-work and have to give your best effort to achieve success.
