Organizing Institute :
IIT Bombay will conduct GATE 2021. Previous year, GATE 2020 was organized by IIT Delhi and GATE 2022 most probably will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur.
GATE EE Exam Pattern :
- GATE is Computer Based Test (CBT) that is conducted online.
- Questions Style : Two types of questions are mixed - 1. Numerical Ability Test (NAT) - has no negative marking for wrong answer. 2. MCQs(Multiple Choice Questions) - has negative marking . Negative Marking system : For marking wrong 1/3 marks deducted for 1 marks and 2/3 marks deducted as penalty for 2 marks.
- Total Number of Questions : 65 questions for 100 marks. Out of 65 questions 50 questions from Technical section or Subject Section and 15 questions from General Aptitude.
- Duration : 3 Hours.
- Marks Distribution : Out of 100 marks, 85 marks from Technical Section(Subject Section) and 15 marks from General Aptitude.
- Subjects to covered in Electrical Engineering : 1. Electrical Machine, 2. Power System, 3.Measurement 4. Power Electronics 5.Control System, 6. Circuit Theory, 7. Analog Electronics, 8. Digital Electronics, 9. Signal & System, 10.EMT 11.Engineering Mathematics, 12.Microprocessor.
